Item details

This wheel thrown handmade ice bucket is a perfect size for a bottle of champagne or white wine that you want to keep chilled. (Works well for holding a plant or kitchen utensils, or even fruit on the countertop, too.)

Actually, it's also a stunning work of art that stands alone on its own as a piece of art for a mantel or bookshelf.

I made this from stoneware clay, forming it to a 6" high x 7" wide cylinder.

The glaze is an amazingly beautiful one that I call Lichen because of the colors and crystals in it. It is a special glaze that took me two years to perfect, using water from the rare above-ground Lithia Spring in my Colorado mountain town. It features shades of gold, copper, bronze, mint, and forest green. I will include a description of this glaze in the package when it goes out.

It's very durable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

If you would like to pair this ice bucket with some small wine glasses or tumblers in the same glaze like those in the last photo, you can add them from the drop down menu...and if you wish more than is currently in stock, just contact me and I'll make more.

It is a one of a kind piece of art that is also very functional. Add a little color to your kitchen with this beauty! Don't miss the Add to Cart button now!

If this is a gift, I'm happy to include a card with a message from you in the package. Just leave me the wording in the note to seller at check out.

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.
Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.
I use a very durable stoneware clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.
It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.
I do sell my work wholesale to gift shops and galleries. Please contact me for minimum order and pricing information. My phone is: 970-846-9349 and my email is

I also have a watercolor shop here on etsy and would love to be represented by a gallery for that work. You can see it at:
