Inspired by the story of Amethyst, the disciple Diana saved from Dionysus.
Amethyst called on the Goddess to save her from the predatory actions of the drunken Dionysus. At the last possible second, Diana transformed Amethyst into a statue of pure white crystal. Dionysus cried purple tears of regret over the statue , permanently staining the stone.
It is rumored that since that time the Gemstone has been used to purify wounds, both physical and spiritual, to aid in healing.
