It would probably be a good idea for me to start out by saying that this item is a collectible dollhouse miniature, not a full-size item!

Here we have a beautiful handcrafted miniature stoneware garden planter crafted by Carol Mann, an IGMA Fellow in the Pottery category who has since retired from crafting miniature pottery. I've filled the bowl with three sedum plants, each rosette of which was carefully constructed of individually hand-painted petals and then planted in 'sand'. (If you turned the bowl upside down, nothing would spill out since everything has been carefully glued into the bowl.) I then landscaped the bowl with tiny 'rocks' for a very Zen feel. The bowl is signed and dated on the bottom by both Carol and me. The planter colors are deep rust and beige with some green inside the upper lip.

I've photographed the garden pedestal with a full-sized hammer to demonstrate scale. This is a 1/12th scale miniature (one inch equals one foot). I promise not to smash this lovely pedestal with the hammer. :)

The bowl measures slightly under 1-5/8 inch, or about 39mm, in diameter and approximately 1.5 inches or 38mm tall. Would look wonderful in a Japanese or Southwestern miniatures setting, or just casually made part of a dollhouse garden or landscape. No dollhouse? Well, isn't it time? ;-)

This is an ADULT collectible, not a child's toy. Absolutely not recommended for children under the age of 3 as it might present a choking hazard.
