When I put a pen in, I must do so carefully, gingerly even, or else the whole thing toppled over. I may replace the cork base with rubber to see if friction helps, or else I will be adding a weight to the bottom — reducing the elegance and overall aesthetic. So close to perfect, but this flaw keeps it from 5 stars.
