Tea needs room to breathe, and these large tea infusers give the leaves all the space they need. It'll be strong enough to brew four cups of tea, or if you are like me, one super strong cup!! Attached is a bottle cap charm with the saying "Polly put the kettle on, we'll all have tea" inspired by the nursery rhyme of the same name.

"Polly put the kettle on" was published in 1797. The origin of "Polly put the kettle on" was based on the author having five children - two boys and three girls. There were constant arguments as the boys wanted to play soldiers and the girls wanted to play house! When the girls wanted to play without their brothers they would pretend to start a game of tea party "Polly put the kettle on" and the daughter, called Polly, would put the toy kettle on! As soon as the brothers left Sukey (or Susan) would take it off again! Their father was so amused by this ploy that he set it to words and added the music which were subsequently published. With two young kids of my own, I understand the chaos!

Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
We'll all have tea.
Sukey take it off again,
Sukey take it off again,
Sukey take it off again,
They've all gone away.

Put loose tea leaves inside the mesh tea ball infuser, snap the clasp closed, steep, and enjoy. The chain allows for easy retrieval of the tea strainer from your mug. When you're done simply rinse the ball and let dry. The charm should be wiped only - do not submerge in liquid.

Loose leaf teas are often considered better than many bagged teas for a few reasons.

*The leaves found in loose leaf teas are often much larger and contain fewer broken pieces than those found in bagged teas.

* The essential oils contained in tea leaves contribute to its heavenly flavor. If a tea leaf is broken and crushed into tiny pieces, like those found in bagged tea, the essential oils evaporate before you get to enjoy them.

* Tea leaves also need some room to move. Allowing some space for water circulation will contribute to enhanced flavor.

* Loose teas also offer you a larger selection of flavors and varieties than you'd find in the bagged section.

Hand wash only. (Pictured mug not included)
