They ordered their dreams by mail. When the big city came to Conchartte Oklahoma, it came by mail. It came twice a year, described and listed by number, size and price - between the covers of a mail order Catalogue. There was the widow who ordered magic in a little bottle ... the pretty high school girl who sent for the silken under garmets worn by Hollywood stars ... the cripple who bought a wheelchair on time .... and the lonely young wife who ordered anything that would bring the postman to her door. Tfhere were other deliveries too. And sometimes, the postman brought the people things they hadn't ordered...things like.....

The postman wasn't supposed to know what was inside the packages, but he did know in the case of ....

To the simple affairs of the town, the mail added something new every day.

Condition: In Good or better Condition, general normal vintage wear, with the bottom front cover and all pages corner at the tip freyed / rounded, tight binding of the book on all the pages, with usual yellowing / toning of pages from the patina of age, a nice reading copy and fantastic display copy.
