These small 1969 Noritake "Annabelle" china bowls were identified as "fruit bowls" when manufactured and sold to match the full "Annabelle" dinner service that included all 3 typical sizes of smooth coupe style plates. The first intention for the use of this size bowl was to serve individual portions of a side dish of fruit at a breakfast, lunch, or dinner meal. In today's world when foods are more diverse these bowls could serve a myriad of foods from individual dipping sauce portions to small dessert portions of ice cream or sherbet.

The "Annabelle" pattern, open stock from 1967-1978 was a particularly popular pattern in its day, and remains popular today, because of the universal affection for daisy flowers. These beautiful delicate blossoms that border Annabelle pieces are accompanied by graceful foliage and applied to a beautiful snow white background that is bordered in elegant silver colored platinum edging.

Bowl dimensions are 5 1/2"w x 1 1/4"h. All 12 available bowls at the start of this listing are in gorgeous condition --- not even any losses to the platinum edging. They would be great in your home or to give as a gift -- especially to one who loves mixing some of the charming best from different generations.

These 12 bowls are priced individually at 4.95 each.. Use the toggle to the right of the photos to select the quantity you would like to order.
