I frequent second hand places for vintage, watching for an item to catch me and yank my sentiments; meanwhile my brain in autopilot is already trying to envision what it will become BUT this was was a fast forward- in fact the seller said she'd had the same thing in mind but realized it was not going to go beyong the thought lol Soooo I did it, its what I do!

This is a delicate piece in thin fabrics (lawn maybe?) sort of like vintage 40's-50's doll dresses were made of- called lawn, this could be a repro tho, not sure. Its a pale yellow buttery cream backround alternating with a tiny lilac floral print, sewn in wide vertical panels. At the bottonm is embroidery with yarn embroidered fruit- lets see, grapes pears and peaches, also has lilac ties now. It used to be regular clothing and now its an apron with a sweet nostalgic look. .

Some aprons lend themselves pattern wise to the choice of back tie or side tie ( apron skirt like)
and this is one- the patterns the same all around. Asaback tie you get one seam in front middle waistband, as side tie none. These are always my favorite aprons cause its so fast to side tie (all the moreso with older folks), but can also go for traditional- I do love choices cause every situation is different. The photo shows side tie only so you can see the ties without requiring a back photo too.

Purple is hard to find too for those who adore it so if thats you or someone you know, think seriously. This apron is also a size large which I dont get to do so often in repurposed aprons, and its a dainty shortish one as well. If you want longer I can add tulle, was going back and forth on whether to anyhow. It depends whether you want a totally vintage look or a jazzier upscale look. Also for those who prefer full aprons, I can add a bib to this one- have lilac fabric and leftover length strip that would make a very nice bibtop ruffle- it will cost some more to do though to cover the extra work and supplies but its a nice option.... just let me know either before or when you ring up car item/s.
