Special occasions call for beautiful things. When my children were baptized into the Greek Orthodox Church their godmothers brought them beautiful candles adorned with ribbons, bows, icons, charms and jewels. I was enchanted. And now I bring that enchantment to you.

This beautiful special occasion candle is a 15" white taper. The bottom is wrapped in 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon, baby pink with white dots and chocolate brown trim. The bow is made from a satiny 1.5" cream colored toile ribbon. Print is chocolate brown, edges are pink with white dots and then a thin edge of chocolate brown. Lightly wired ribbon gives bow a nice shape. My bows are tied, never glued. A small cross charm swings below the bow. Streamer flow well below the bottom of the candle and include three different types of ribbon: the toile, the grosgrain, and a 1/8" pink ribbon. There is still plenty of room at the top of the candle for a drip cup to protect you from dripping wax.

This a wonderful candle for a little girl. (This ribbon is available in chocolate brown and blue as well of you are interested convo me for a custom candle or see my other listings).

And Icon of your choosing can be added just above the bow at no extra charge and will not delay shipping (see sold orders for some examples). Recommendations include Christ's Baptism, the Wedding Feast, the Resurrection, or a patron saint.

A note about the pictures: To protect the bottom of the candles I stick them in a jar of beans. This conceals the very bottom of the candle. I do include one picture of the candle laying down so you can see the whole thing.

The candles I make are perfectly suited for sacramental use in the Eastern Orthodox Church but can be used by everyone for many special occasions. Candles can be customized for every event important to you. They are perfect for:
* Baptisms and baby dedications
* Chrismation and confirmation
* Candle light services
* Pascha and Easter
* Christmas Eve
* Other religious services and rites
* Non-religious special occasions
* Weddings
* Table decorations at parties and receptions

If you are interested in special colors, different candle size, sets or any other customization please message me. Beeswax candles are available in custom orders.

Embellished candles make sweet gifts for children participating in church services such as Christmas pageants, Myrrh bearing girls, and processions. They make a nice alternatives for bridesmaids to carry instead of bouquets. Matching sets can be made to use as unity candles. Pregnant moms often buy a special candle to light while in labor and then light the candle every year on their child's birthday. What a beautiful tradition. The possibilities are endless.

Because candles will warp and melt in the heat I will only ship these priority mail and only inside the united states. I am willing to ship to Canada but shipping is about $30. I pack my candles well and am not responsible for candles damaged because the postal worker left them in the heat. Please make arrangements for your candle to be properly received from the postal worker.
