This book thong features a handmade artisan floral glass bead in pink and green. I've added glass bead charms and lucite flower charms in matching colors. The seed beads are placed individually on thin metal wire, 7 strands, and nylon coated for flexibility, strength and durability.

The beaded area that fits inside the book is 10 inches.

Need a different size?
My items can sometimes be resized if you need a specific size. I can't promise but do contact me before you purchase!

My items are generally plated not solid, such as with silver. To clean use a silver polishing cloth gently, but not too long, just long enough to shine it up. Don't overpolish.

I make all my items as sturdy as possible, while not sacrificing beauty, but they are not indestructible. The vast majority of the beads I use are glass and glass can break with rough treatment. Try not to pull or tug hard on the bookmarks, especially if they get trapped inside a bag. Treat these items as you would your jewelry.

While I don't guarantee one of a kind items as someone may request something similar or I may fall in love with a design and create it a few times more, many of my items are unique. Yes they are definitely a luxury, but what reader doesn't envision being a little pampered, even if it comes as a gift from yourself?

I've been creating book thongs, jewelry and other beaded items since 2004. It's my passion. Feel free to convo me if you have any questions.

Any tax, tariff or customs fees imposed by buyer country are the responsibility of the buyer. I cannot mark any packages as 'gift' or at reduced value on customs forms as this is in violation of customs law.

Short answer: Yes! Longer answer: depending on your wants I'm sure we can work together to make something great! I find this works best when you give me ideas and allow me to create. I do reserve the right to limit changes based on cost.
Yes! My items are wrapped in tissue and tied with twine.
Unless otherwise stated, my items are generally plated.
I don't make the lampwork beads, no. I do buy from etsy sellers that are independent artisans who create beautiful beads!

I do make my picture tile pendants! While I don't generally create the images, that's just too much time for me to spare, I do try to coordinate what's popular with what appeals to me, and mesh with color and charms, etc. I do my best to create items that are NOT the intellectual property of others who have not given me permission to use. This is why you won't find any licensed products like Disney, Nickelodeon, etc., in my store.

I used to make many of my polymer clay beads, but don't anymore. Again, not enough time! I do purchase from etsy creators!
Stabilized turquoise:

Most turquoise sold for use in jewelry-making is stabilized. There are three main stabilization treatments currently applied to turquoise stones:

Paraffin polish
Polyresin polish
Impregnation of a colorless bonding agent--commonly plastic--for basic stabilization. This stabilization increases the durability, hardness, chemical resistance and uniform appearance of the turquoise. Stabilization frequently darkens the color and gives the stone a glossy appearance--a handy way to identify basic stabilized turquoise.
I try my best to provide my customers with components they would be content wearing, not just happy with the look. I do use some bone, horn and wood beads. These beads are all sourced humanely, ethically or eco friendly. For example some are domestic animal products, while others are sourced from animals dying a natural death and to honor the animal all the parts are used, and in turn give workers in other countries a fair living wage (fair trade). No animal product I use is from an endangered animal nor any wood from an endangered tree.
