This full sheet of 40 unused 10 cent 1975 vintage se-tenant postage stamps were issued on October 6, 1975 at New York City, NY and were designed by V. Jack Ruther.

These se-tenant commemorative stamps were designed to focus attention on the role that banking and commerce played in the development of the United States.

There are two different stamp designs that when put together complete the picture of currency and coins. On the one stamp verbiage in copper brown on the top left reads “Banking” with “US 10c” written in white below. The other stamp has the same colors of verbiage with “Commerce” in the top right and “US 10c” written in white below.

Se-tenant is a stamp or label printed from the same plate that adjoin one another but have different designs and colors.

Each stamp measures 1 1/4” tall x 1 5/8” wide (3.2 cm x 4.1 cm). The entire sheet measures 10 1/4” tall x 9" wide (26.0 cm x 22.9 cm).

These stamps are “mint” – meaning they have never been used. They have the original glue.

My grand-aunt collected these. She was not a “true” stamp collector & basically stored them in manila envelopes. Whenever the USPS came out with a new stamp – especially a commemorative one – she purchased at least one sheet & put them away in her envelopes. More from her collection can be seen here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/4GetMeNotTreasures/search?search_query=postage+stamps or you can see them throughout the Ephemera section of the shop which also includes books & magazines, https://www.etsy.com/shop/4GetMeNotTreasures?section_id=7221224

These stamps are great for collectors both young and old alike. Additionally, they’d be great for paper crafting & jewelry making or anywhere else your creativity wants to take you. They are also a great gift for someone born on the day the stamps were issued. Frame them and give them as a nice and thoughtful gift – or keep them for yourself.
