This started out as raw Columbia/Rambouillet wool that I washed, carded and spun on my antique spinning wheel to a large hank of super soft and springy three-ply yarn. It was then dyed in alkanet root, an old dye that was once used to correct the color of flawed port wines - no joke! Therefore it's all-natural and chemical free. Speaking of wine, don't drink and dye folks! You might fall asleep and forget to move the dye sock around, dyeing one portion a little darker than you intended to, just sayin'. ;o)

The color ranges from dark, almost navy blue to a light dusty, mauve-ish purple. Please note that this color is extremely subtle and all monitors display differently.

NOT superwash. Gently handwash, line dry only.
