Description

I present Oskar puzzle - Melty-D Plus Cube
with the permission of Oskar from his drawings I made the Melty-D Plus Cube. this is a very interesting and rare puzzle.
if your collection does not have this - it's a great chance to get a wonderful puzzle !!!

Description of the author:
Melty D is the fourth of a series of four Melted Cube designs proposed by Bram Cohen. Whereas the six axes in a regular Rubik's Cube are at 90 degrees, they are at 85 degrees in de Melted Cubes. The six axes of Melty D can be described as follows. Place three axis with 85 degrees between each pair. Place a second set of three axes with also 85 degrees between them such that the three each have an 85 degrees angle with one of the first set. The result is an interesting puzzle, that can be fully scrambled according some definitions, but not according to other. Melty D has threefold rotation symmetry, point symmetry around its origin and chirality. This makes Melty D the most symmetric among the set of four..

I was inspired by the work of Oscar and decided to create an extended version of this puzzle.

I think it's better than you could expect from a printed puzzle. Perfect turning, perfect stickers, polished surfaces. Maybe a bit too big, but the shape makes it comfortable to play with.

The stickers have been cut and applied very nicely, and the puzzle looks and turns great.

My only complaint is that I scrambled it a couple of weeks ago and still have made zero progress in solving it.. I forgot I suck at bandaged puzzles :D
