Ix Chel- (ee-shell)- is the Mayan goddess of the Moon, Waters, and Weaving. She embodies many roles within the Mayan world, from caring for mothers during childbirth to pouring rainstorms and flooding the land to create growth. Ix Chel is seen as the embodiment of Maiden, Mother and Crone. Traditionally mothers and daughters would go to honor her at her temple on the sixth night of the moon. Embrace the powerful energy of this goddess in ceremony with this unique prayer stick.

Traditionally, prayer sticks are thrust into the ground in front of the shaman, connecting the earth and sky, the physical and the spiritual. When the wind moves through the feathers of the prayer stick it carries your prayers to the heavens.

Made from oak, polymer clay, and dyed pheasant feathers this prayer stick is approximately 12 1/2 in. in length with a feather train of 8 in. at the longest point.
