Incredible short jacket by Elgee of London, using a beautiful Liberty cotton. According to my numerous magazine editorials I've scanned, these shorter jackets seem to have been called 'Battle jackets', and given that this one has slight padding on the shoulders (not giving mega shoulders but giving you a sort of 'sharpness'), it seems a very appropriate name. This has a very Biba-style, and I imagine that it had a pair of matching trousers to go with it - and indeed, would look amazing teamed with another Liberty print.

Condition:

Excellent condition. Some colour change to the lining under the arms but not visible when worn. Sold as vintage.
