This Silmaril is a deep, lustrous orange. Velvety and smooth, it is reminiscent of the petals of orange roses—slightly unusual, perhaps, but still breathtaking.
According to the Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, the Silmarils were three brilliant jewels which contained the unmarred light of Telperion and Laurelin—the Two Trees of Valinor, which brought light to the Land of the Valar in ancient times. The creation of these beautiful jewels could not be copied, making their worth close to infinite as they were both unique and irreplaceable. This was especially true once the Two Trees were destroyed through the evil conniving of Melkor.
It is said that the Silmarils not only produced their own light, but also reflected the light of any other light near them. For this reason, I have decided to name this jewelry line after their brilliance. Indeed, this handmade pendant seems to glow both from within and without.
Do not expose to heat, as this may cause the pendant’s coloration to warp and bubble. Also, while extremely sturdy, please keep in mind that the pendant is glass and may chip if dropped or abused.
