Watercolor House Painting, custom House Portrait, Gift for grandparents, gift for parents, christmas gift for grandma, holiday gift for mom

Custom, hand-drawn, hand-painted house drawing / watercolor painting of a house from a photo.

Houses are full of meaning, from the house you grew up in, the first house you owned, where you raised or are raising your family: all of these memories are held in a house that became a home.

Here's an opportunity to have a unique and original watercolor house drawing created to showcase your home; wherever it is now or wherever it has been for you or the one's you love. This is a great gift idea for grandparents, parents, children, and friends. I have worked with a number of realtors, as well. These drawings and paintings make wonderful gifts for clients that are buying and or selling their beloved homes.

Houses are drawn from a photo in the style consistent with what you'll find in the examples throughout my shop, on a heavy professional cold press watercolor paper.

The sizes available are:

4x6"
5x7"
8x10"
9x12"
11x14"
12x16"
18x24"

I can accommodate a custom size as well, just reach out with inquiries about specific sizes and I will be glad to work with you!

These watercolor pieces are hand-drawn from an actual image of the house, so feel free to send more than one photograph of the house! You can include pictures in a conversation here at the time of check out:

Please be sure to include and point out any trees, bushes, swings, any of the 'things' that are particularly special to the home. Also please point out anything in the photo that you don't want included in the drawing. For example, if you'd like a tree to be omitted, or a bush that isn't around anymore, decorations etc, let me know at the same time that you initially send me photos! I can add flowers to a bush or leaves to a dead tree, or make it look like summer from a photo of a winter scene – just message me any info that will shed light on what you’re hoping for. All of the pictures and clarity in notes you leave for me will help me create the perfect piece for you!

I will always send an image of the artwork for you to preview and approve/request any adjustments. In some cases I will not be able to accommodate an edit or adjustment requested. I will always ensure that a piece is sent in a style that matches my portfolio shown in my shop listings, and that it has included any of the requests that you initially point out to me. If something comes up after the first preview that we didn't originally discuss, I will do my best to incorporate this. However, in some cases, I will not be able to make an edit if it won't allow for a piece to meet the high standard I have for your artwork! I will always have your best interest in mind and also care a lot about sending a clean finished piece.

I will wait to hear for your approval for 48 hours, and at that time I will ship your artwork as I drew it.

The average turnaround time for these drawings is about 1-2 weeks. I will send you a message when I first receive your order (and photos) if I have any questions initially. When I am working on your artwork, you will receive a note that your order is "in progress", and at that point, you can expect that I will be sending you a preview for you to approve within a few days. If you request any changes, I will send follow-up previews with any adjustments made typically on the same day. Again, I will hold onto your artwork for 48 hours while waiting for your approval, and if I don’t hear from you within that time frame, I will send out the artwork.
You will notice at checkout that I now have the option of shipping your artwork framed! This is an exciting addition to my shop that has been long requested. I'm thrilled to make framed artwork available to you, and it is as simple as selecting "Framed 5x7", or whatever size you're hoping for, at check out. Examples of frames can be seen in the listing photos. The frames I offer are simple black frames, without matting. If you would like matting, I can accommodate that for a couple of sizes - 8x10” artwork can be framed in an 11x14” frame with matting, and 5x7” artwork can be framed in an 8x10” frame with matting.
At this time I am able to frame sizes up through 11x14", but will not be offering frames for either 12x16" or 18x24". If you have any questions, just send me a message from the conversation link!

I am able to expedite your drawing for delivery within 2 weeks for an additional $30 upon request. If this is needed, go ahead and place the order for whatever size you’d like, and send me a message that you’d like to expedite within 2 weeks. I will send an invoice separately for the expediting fee.

The original artwork will be shipped in a protective sleeve with chipboard backing and in a rigid envelope to ensure its safe arrival. I ship ground advantage USPS and can upgrade your shipping to 2 day Priority shipping upon request. (Again, this will not expedite the completion of your artwork, but it will just ship faster). This upgrade can be selected at checkout and will be included in your original order.

I feel incredibly grateful for this shop, from which I have completed thousands of custom art pieces for people around the world. This is beyond what I ever dreamt of. Thank you so much for checking out my work, it means the world to me and I pride myself on completing original, hand- drawn artwork that you'll love and appreciate for years/generations to come.
