Original oil painting on small format wood panel, still life with purple and white iris, chinese ceramic, seashells and a fly,
with a mountain landscape in the background.
There is much more than just an iris flower in this original artwork. The landscape in the background depicts a big bright sky, majestic mountains and a deep forest. In the foreground are an insect and two shells to evoke even more the omnipresence of Nature. A mini oil painting can contain a whole world!
• Technique: gesso coated wood board, monochrome egg tempera underpaintings
and multiple layers of thin colored oil glazings ( flemish technique ). The sides are
gilded with copper leaf ( patinated aspect ).
• Dimensions: 4.33 x 2.16 x 0.31 in / 11 x 4.5 x 0.8 cm
• Shipping and delivery: registered parcel with signature on delivery. Robust packaging: your
painting is wrapped in silk paper, bubble wrap and a stiff inflexible cardboard
sleeve.

As an artist myself, I immediately saw the quality in these miniatures. I was delighted to receive the parcel. Every possible detail and then some was observed in the packaging. Clearly, this artist is schooled in precision and quality every step of the way. I have placed my little painting among other valuables in a beloved curio cabinet. I love collecting things that have been imbued with soul.
