These scarves are a soft blend of light weight threads meant to be used both for fashion rather than warmth. They drape nicely, and each scarf is one-of-a-kind with the subtle pattern in the weaving.

Peace, Love, and... tie dyed scarves! Their subtle mix of bright colors and browns/blacks make this a beautiful accent piece for men, women or children... and the extensive colors in it, will create a "splash of color" to anything in your closet. They go as well with a pair of worn out denims, as they do with a pair of black dress slacks!!

Size: Approximately 12 inches wide and 68 inches long

Dharma Trading Company found these lightweight cotton scarves and shawls in a small village on the island of Java in Indonesia where the men handweave them on handmade wooden looms. The intricate openwork patterns have been handed down through the generations, father to son. The natural cotton thread is purchased in big “hanks” and wound onto spools using old bicycle rims. The loom is then “dressed” which is very time consuming. The weaving itself then goes relatively quickly. Because they are completely handmade, the charm is in the irregularities and the sizes are approximate. (For those interested, Dharma Trading Co. received a message from the head weaver expressing their appreciation and thanks for our orders as it means a lot to the well-being of their village.) I buy these natural-colored items from Dharma and use my magic to create beautifully colored pieces that will certainly turn heads when you wear them.

Care: It is recommended that you hand wash and air dry! That's what I did during the dyeing and rinsing process- and then a slight pressing with a warm iron, and they were good to go!

I am a teen tiedyer who is "dyeing" to go to college! Thank you for your support- and for looking through my shop (with one of the largest selections of handmade tiedye available on Etsy!) to see the 500+ items I have for sale.

Thank you for looking~ Briar
