This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed home
This little piggy had roast beef
This little piggy had none
and this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home

Well the piggies that went to market in this rug are looking for just the right home in which to rest. This is a fun neutral rug that would fit in almost anywhere. What better place for your own little piggies to rest?

This rug is handwoven using recycled bed sheets. One was a almond fitted sheet covered in abstract whimsical pigs in black. The other was a top sheet in dark chocolate brown

Warp is done in stripes of brown alternating with natural and accented with black

It is a cotton warp

The size of this rug is 23" x 46"

Length of rug does not include the length of hand knotted fringe

My greatest joy in weaving comes in color exploration. Weaving rag rugs allows me to combine colors in ways that I might not have thought of if the "rags" were not in front of me, daring me to put them together.

All my rugs are woven on a large vintage "Weaver's Delight" rug loom built in 1942. The whole house shakes when I am weaving. The designs are my own and I have won several awards for my work. I use all recycled materials in my wefts and either cotton or polyester warp. My rugs are machine washable in warm or cool. It is best to line dry. Give the fringe a good shake to straighten it and hang over a clothesline or rail. With a bit of care this rug will last a good many years.
