It can be a wall hanging picture frame and/or a personalized Christmas ornament, or how about gluing magnet on the back to have it on your fridge? Lots of possibilities! It makes a lovely handmade gift too.
Making this for a Christmas gift but not sure what to frame? I have included in this listing a PDF for 6 printable holiday messages designed to fit in your Dresden Photo Frame! You can print it using cardstock of any color to match your frame.
Supplies and Materials required:
- 12 fabric scraps for petals, each measuring at least 1 1/2” x 2”
- Fabric for frame base and a pocket, measuring at least 13” x 10”
- One-sided fusible heavy weight stabilizer such as Pellon Peltex I (Style# 71F) available at
Joann Fabric, measuring at least 13” x 7”. (A half yard would be plenty to make 4 frames!)
- 3 1/4” long string for a loop for hanging
- (Optional) 20” long rick rack trim
- Cardstock or Matte photo paper to print petal templates (Page 8)
- Temporary glue, permanent glue
- Needles, thread, scissors
