I made this beautiful bowl form on my pottery wheel with porcelain clay and cut into it to create this pretty delicate, yet sturdy, design.

The glaze is a gorgeous shade of celedon blue -- kind of a pale robin's egg. It's beautiful with nothing inside, but is functional and can be used to hold fruit, holiday decorations, or even a candle. The shadows that it throws against the surface when the light shines through the holes in the rim provide added interest and a very arty look.

This vessel measures 5.5" high x 8" across and is quite striking. This listing is for the exact bowl shown in the first 5 photos above, but the later photos show other colors and designs of these pieces - some still available and others in private collections. I'm always happy to create a custom order for you if you like any of the other colors or designs.

It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. We met Deb on our trip to Steamboat and enjoyed watching her work on pieces while talking. We bought a few pieces while there, but we found a few more pieces we liked online! The single serving colander bowls are perfect for breakfast or a snack. Deb's lichen glaze (which she created) is simply stunning. I am so happy to have a piece with that glaze now!
