gouache on vintage cabinet card
7 1/2"x9 1/2" with frame

A peculiar, yet charming piece. The back of the cabinet card reads, "Uncle Art WIlson." And, this little rhyme, which I have painted on the piece, popped into my head . . .

Uncle Art Wilson
of Dewberry Street
wears the snazziest clothes
but has nothing to eat

The color palette was difficult to photgraph. The colors are more intense than they appear here and include fluorescent orange, olive and pale blue

This original painting is on a found cabinet card, which is framed in a found acrylic (plastic) free standing frame. The frame has been spray painted a pale blue to compliment the painting.
