"My Portofino", Italy, is magical just the way it is. Natural and tucked away with water and trees all around. This view is from the opposite side showing the curvature of the bay as it opens to the sea. As so many of my paintings this is set on an early Sunday Morning while all is still, still. Sorry I had to say that just the way I thought of it and make myself believe it is a real place with all its color and wonderment. You can't see in these photos, but I painted a couple of small people walking at one end of the harbor, as church ended, I would think.

You are viewing "My Portofino" (Italy) - Print #604 (The number after the print title, above, is an inventory number and not a limited-edition number) at Baywood (Mary Grden, is the Artist and owner). I will be starting limited edition series prints soon, contact me or, please "favorite my shop" to be notified.

GICLEE FINE ART PRINTS on Canvas and Paper are made by me the Artist who painted the Original Oil Painting. I digitally render my images, and format them to fit on the paper or canvas sizes for standard size frames, (frames you can buy at a craft or art store ready for framing). Most of these sized frames are wonderful and inexpensive for the price. I frame some individually and as a set, but I am finding some like the “art” of framing on their own and it helps keep the cost down for everyone.

I can render images proportionately so there is no distortion and I do not “crop.” When you frame one of my prints you are purchasing the entire image proportional to the Original Oil painting and the frame size. In that, if you already have a frame you want to use, contact me with the opening or the “whole” that the glass fits in and I usually can make it fit so it looks natural. Note: Vertical frames are the same as Horizontal ones. You just turn the frame 90 degrees right or left. Reformatting stretching or tweeking a size does not usually work with images of “animate” forms, like people and animals. Inanimate images like buildings or those subjects that are motionless, are usually made in different sizes without any distortion. Simply stated, if you try and make people look wider or taller than their original proportions in the original oil painting, it does not have a good outcome, lolol.

Prints are printed on an Epson Mid-range Archival Printer using Epson Pigment Inks and Epson Watercolor Paper and/or Canvas. I have framed Giclee Prints on Canvas and Paper, unframed as well. Please refer photos showing what you can order and the check out abbreviations. Contact me with any special requests or if I have made it confusing. All of my Giclee prints are mounted to acid free mat-board or thinner foam core. Some are framed, but they are prepared the same before I put them into a frame. Samples of frame and sets are shown in the images. Each unframed print is shipped flat, and ready for framing. Small prints are sent like a photo, protected in an envelope. If you need framing, other than I have listed, please contact me before you purchase to see if we can help you especially if it is a gift.

If you order a Giclee CANVAS PRINT-Epson, the maker of the Papers and Canvas I use, writes that it is optional for you to use glass to cover your print and it is. When I frame them, I take the glass out, because the art is a bit more brilliant without the glass. It is your preference. Glass will come with a frame you purchase in a standard size (right off the shelf) and the backing board to complete the framing.

The Canvas Prints are treated after printing with a clear sealant. Care instructions are included but are simple: Use a clean, soft, painter's brush to dust and never use liquid cleaners of any kind. ALWAYS, if your Original or print becomes damaged contact me, my information will be printed as part of the Certificate of Authenticity that accompanies your purchase and I will include a business card.

PAPER Prints are framed under glass. All my Prints are made to last approximately 100 years if framed and hung on a wall or displayed on a table or easel out of direct sunlight. Each of my Giclee Prints comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and my signature. Shipping is free within the United States and insured.
