This is a very interesting graveyard item. I believe it to be Museum quality once the beading is retsored. The items are all in excellent condition except for the beading. The soft leather seems to be kid. It is in excellent condition with no tears or heavy wear marks. You can see that in the folds is even perfect as shown in photo 3. I was surprised to find inside an additional coin purse with an original photo of the maker. The front has her photo and the back is a mirror. I am dating this to the early 1900s due to the photo but it may even be older (late 1800s). If you like to do bead restoration this is a wonderful project with lots of potential. Size of large purse is a tad over 10" in length without the beaded fringe. The outside of the purse is suede with an inner liner of the soft leather. Two round embellishments are hanging off the purse with little wear. Coin purse is also in great condition except for small areas of missing beads. Beads are a coppery AB and are small seed beads that can be purchased new. Feel free to email any questions.
