Curiouser and Curiouser! Which is what you will be thinking when you gaze at this one-of-a-kind, upcycled hand-painted canister with my take on the fascinating tale "Alice in Wonderland".

In this piece you will see that Alice is forever in Wonderland, she is pictured grown up and like all of the characters in Wonderland, Alice is now "mad" too! The Chesire Cat plays tricks with Alice's mind as the un-birthday party tea pot toots out a fluff of cream that reads "It suddenly all makes sense"; yet so much is very confusing, with Alice flying over the moon with the Chesire Cat. The evil Red Queen of Hearts is pictured in all of her glory peering at young Alice frozen in stone with the White Rabbit and Mad Hatter, this symbolizes the eternity of Wonderland. These stone characters are displayed in front of a book and writing pen (the writing desk) and a painting of a raven with the faintly legible phrase "Always at the Edge of Somewhere". "Eat Me" mushrooms are featured all over the piece and on the lid of the canister, you will see the young, cuddly March Hare and Alice's hand reaching for the key with the endeavor to escape the inescapable Wonderland.

This spectacular piece can hold an array of desired items such as tea, candies, and sentimental items...and most definitely a deck of cards or some "eat me" treats! In these pictures, the shine on the canister is from the glossy Mod Podge finish. I applied two coats of Mod Podge to this canister so the images are protected, yet you can still feel the fun texture of the freckles!

The eco-friendly recycled materials used in this item are: a tin/canister with fitting tin lid and magazine clippings. This canister measures 6 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide. The interior of this tin is painted a shiny, metallic purple!
