In my studio, one of my greatest sources of inspiration is my bookshelf full of old books. Amongst these are a collection of children’s dictionaries that I’ve picked up over the years. Those reference texts, as well as a thrifted box of rub on letters were the beginnings of this sampler, meant to be a way of learning and remembering an alphabetical collection of basic stitches. It arrives ready to fill in. (Please note that this item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like) I recommend using either size 8 perle cotton or DMC embroidery floss. Send me a photo when you're finished- I'd love to see how you do it! www.drop-cloth.blogspot.com
