And to think I almost gave up on this silk!!!!! It was a bit of a problem child -- misbehaving at every turn........and I did, in fact, take it off the painting frame to discard!!! sssssoooo glad I hung in there with it!

My new favorite color combo: orange, magenta, pink and green! Four giant peonies take center stage against a mottled background of navy, sky blue, aqua, spruce, sage and leaf green, with a bit of chartreuse, dark brown and ecru. I may have created several new species of peony!! One is shades of orange (almost to red) with touches of fushia, scarlet and pink, the second is purple and magenta, the third soft pinks and magenta, and the fourth, a wild mix of magenta and soft orange. This silk is vibrant, tropical and crazy!......and all painted in my signature loose watercolor style!

Light as a feather silk chiffon. Wrap is approximately 22" x 90" or 55 x 228 cm. (with slight shrinkage after being dyed and steamed). Amply sized for a generous wrap, shawl or scarf.

These are not your grandmothers' scarves. They are bold, contemporary and demand attention -- for the confident and chic woman who will wear it with style. All are hand painted one-of-a-kind pieces of art. If there are imperfections in the painting -- and there will be -- it's because it was not silkscreened in a factory.

The silk has been painted with reactive dye that becomes part of the silk during the steaming process. They're colorfast and will last a lifetime. They can be washed in warm water with mild soap or shampoo, gently wrung out and pressed dry under a tea towel. May also be dry cleaned.
