Vintage Fry Pearl Ware Foval bouillon cup and saucer with delft blue handles. The bouillon cup and saucer are blown and unmarked.

The H.C. Fry Glass Company made it's opalescent pearl glass in the 1920s. Unfortunately, because of high production costs, the Foval line was discontinued after only 3 or 4 years, so you can understand why it is so hard to find today.

Fry Foval is a name familiar to many collectors of art glass of the ‘20s and ‘30s. Comparable in quality to Steuben and the like, it was mold blown and elegant. However, its roots were in the more utilitarian Pearl Ovenware. The basic color of Foval was Pearl opalescent, though it often had blue or jade green applied handles, rims, or feet.

This little beauty has taken a hard knock at one time and there is a tiny internal fracture of the glass, as shown in the last picture. I can send you a closeup of the area, if you wish.
