Vintage from the 1970s

This listing is for one set of 4 Ironstone, dishwasher safe small bread and butter sized plates from Johnson Brothers, makers of china, ironstone, and more in Staffordshire England for many generations.

Johnson Brothers is well known for the high quality of their dinnerware, and for their popular scenic designs on dishware. These versatile small bowls are part of the Heritage Hall line featuring primarily brown and white genre scenes of every day life in various settings from colonial America. They were produced by Johnson Bros. between 1969 - 1985. The genuine hand engraved picture on these plates ffeatures life around a typical Spanish American Hacienda from Colonial Days in the Southwestern United States. A little more detail about this Spanish style home is printed on the back of the plates.

The plates 6 1/4" across. All plates are in mint condition and would be practical to use for serving lots of occasional or tea time snacks as well as bread and butter with a meal.
