WOW!! This is an incredible very late 1920s to early 1930s gown + jacket set!! Both pieces are made of an exquisite iridescent peach/apricot colored lace. Gown has bias ribbon tie straps, a low cut back, and stunning pointed inset goring seaming at lower hips. Bolero style jacket has the most dramatic and wonderfully full asymmetrical ruffle cuffs I've ever seen. Matching crepe piping along jacket borders. No closures on either piece and neither piece is lined, so a slip is necessary under the gown, as it is otherwise sheer. All in all, just an amazing summer set--perfect as a wedding gown set, as a bridesmaid's set, or for a dressy garden party, like the Gatsby Picnic, perhaps?
*Shown worn over a slip that is NOT included in the listing.

Approximate Measurements of garments (in inches):
Bust: 31-32 across bodice underarm to underarm(due to open back, slight stretchiness of lace, etc, could theoretically accommodate slightly larger bust, maybe to 33-34 or so?--however, given the restrictions that the top of the bodice may present when it comes to getting the dress on and off (unless you added a side zipper or snap placket), it seems like it may have originally been designed to fit more perfectly on someone with a smaller bust size + frame?)

Waist: at seam: 28 (remember it must be able to slip over head without closures)

Hips: 33-34 at top of inset goring (6 inches from waist seam); to 52" at bottom points of goring (10" from waist seam)--

Length: 50 (just the lace body of the dress, factoring in ribbon shoulder ties 55" (give or take an inch or two, depending on how long or short you leave tie ends).

Bust: varies depending on how open you wear it, but seems to be at about 36 when front lapels adjusted so jacket can be measured from seam to seam (seems like it might sit better on someone with smaller bust than this--shown on 35.5 mannequin with it sitting more open as a result of larger bust and wider shoulders)

Waist: again, varies slightly due to open looser shaping, but adjusted so as to measure seam to seam across bottom, I get about 33" or so? (meant to be a looser fit at waist)

Length: 16.5 from shoulder to lowest point of jacket front

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15"

Condition: Considering the age (80 years!!) and materials of both pieces, this set is in excellent and definitely wearable condition--though I would be extra careful when taking gown on and off and would wear and store with extra care as well. Aside from a small dark foxing freckle at back centre of bolero and one teeny break in the lace at the side seam of dress, this set is in remarkably intact and aesthetically lovely condition (remarkably free of underarm stains and other similar issues one usually sees with garments like this). Ties seem like they could be a later addition. Still, this amazing set is sold AS IS and is a final sale, so please ask all questions and request additional photos BEFORE purchase. Thank you!!!
