This pouch is 100% handmade and based on historical designs. I hand punch, hand stitch, hand oil, hand tool the design, and hand carve the wooden button.

The tooled leather motif is based on engraved ornaments in 13th century Turkish (Seljuk) stone architecture. Similar motifs called hatayi (stylized floral) and rumi (abstract floral) become common on leather book bindings in the 15th century.

The pouch is made so it can be removed from your belt using a draw string that loops around the wooden button. If you have spent time at SCA events or Renn Faires you know it can be a pain to look though a pouch fastened to your belt. This style was common in the early middle ages.

I make my pouches for heavy use and I haven't had one break yet. I stand by everything I make so if you ever come across an issue I will be happy to fix it for you. Of course, if you do something crazy to it, that's not really my fault, is it?

Pouch Dimensions: approximately 6" opening, 8 1/2" deep
Materials: 1-2 oz leather, latigo lace, artificial sinew (stitching), red oak (button)
Finish: I rub in neatsfoot oil and finish with a mahogany dye and a secret patina of my own making
