This was inspired after reading some of Emma Restall Orr's books about her view of the modern Druid path. While I have read books by John Michael Greer and Ross Nichols, both of whom I respect, it was Orr who really got the idea of modern Druid spirituality across to me with her lovely prose.

Bronze is an alloy much loved and used by ancient peoples. It has many formulations, but the most typical version I know of is the one I use, which is a mixture of copper with a lesser percentage of tin. It is a difficult metal to work with a high melting point and from a metal workers perspective it has an attitude compared with silver.

However it is beautiful, historic and inexpensive compared to silver. With the advent of precious metal clay, bronze clay and copper clay have come on the market, both of which are much, much easier to work than sheet metal. This bracelet was made from Bronze clay with handmade jump rings of phosphor bronze. It is a sturdy and attractive piece and could be worn well by men as well as women.
