• A gorgeous black silk jacket from the late 1800s with detailed beading!
• High neck decorated with black beads and sequins all the way around; hook and eye closures in the back of the neck
• Scalloped, beaded yolk in front and back
• Long sleeves with gathered shoulders and scalloped, beaded cuffs
• Front panel wraps to one side and connects with hook and eye closures
• Fully lined; additional hook and eyes down the center of the lining in front
• Fabric-covered metal boning all the way around the bodice for support
• Attached silk waistband wraps around to the front with a hidden hook and eye closure behind the rosette

CONDITION: Very good condition for age, but one of the sleeves has the lining removed around the cuff. Also, there are a few inches of bead loss on both cuffs and some holes in the outer silk layer, including a 3" separation on the left breast and smaller shatters at the underarms. There's a large tear in the inner lining on the left shoulder. The boning seems to be all intact and in very good condition.
