Amusingly topical Accordion pins (now with a piano-keyboard!)

Looks great on jackets, clothes, hats, backpacks, and accordion gig-bags!

Fun gift for accordion players and fans.

Promote a better, more just world with the squeezebox! Also available, "Accordions Against Racism" and "This Machine Fights Sexism" (Mix and match, postage is the same for one or more.)

The accordion's has always been an immigrant instrument. Carried around the world to every continent, it put down roots all over the place. Played by a vast number of different cultures and peoples, the many types of squeezebox display the glorious variety of human creativity, passion, and joy. We made these to support the Accordion Noir show on Vancouver's Co-op Radio and the work they do to bring different voices together.

"This Machine Irritates Fascists"

Vastly oversimplifies the instrument's complicated multi-national geo-political history. These are known to provoke annoyed/dismissive responses though, proving their validity.

Inspired by Woody Guthrie's famous "This Machine Kills Fascists" stickers. You can see various versions on his guitars in photos taken during WWII. I'd like to know more, but assume they began as propaganda stickers on munitions or wartime manufacturing equipment.

Guthrie served in the Merchant Marine, which has its own powerful wartime history. 1 in 24 of these civilian mariners was killed during the war. See Guthrie's unrecorded anti-fascist / pro-union song, "Talking Merchant Marine." The Wikipedia article "History of the United States Merchant Marine" covers some of this under "Wartime Issues" as of Nov, 2019.

Flaming heart stickers! I knew I needed them as soon as I saw them. I bought 5 because I did not want to run out. If you're here for the stickers, you really need to read Bruce's book. It is an amazing font of accordion history!
