This brooch combines the soft lines of Victorian design with futuristic elements to make what might have been a successful science-fiction pin around 1900. The entire piece is made of brass and features a filigree flower as the comet with a detailed feathered wing as a stylised trail behind it. A propeller has been set in the centre to show man reaching for the stars and how technology will get us there. The blades of the propeller actually spin too!

This is a simple brooch, combining a little fantasy with science. It's around 2 1/2" from petal to wing tip and fastens on the back with a standard brooch clasp (the ones that look like safety pins). An excellent addition to any steampunk or romantic era wardrobe.

Please note that this pin is available in both left wing and right wing designs (i.e. mirror-images of itself). The pin displayed is referred to as 'right'', while the mirror opposite would be 'left'. I have more left wings now than right after selling a bunch of these, so the direction of the wing will be chosen from what I have available unless you specifically request 'right' or 'left' when ordering. Honestly, they both look the same, except one is reversed. If direction is important, let me know.
