This porcelain figurine from occupied Japan is of a little angel or fairy that isn’t even old enough to have her full blown wings. She sits on top of a butterfly and asks it to take her where she needs to go. You can see her adorable little wing buds from the back view photo. The stamp on the bottom of the figurine is only partially visible but the O and D can be clearly seen so I feel certain it is an occupied Japan piece. The butterfly is glazed and painted and the little angel is painted bisque. In very good condition. Would be darling nursery décor.

Measures 3 5/8” (9.2 cm) high, 3.25” (8.2 cm) wide and 2.25” (5.7 cm) deep.
