Warranted 22K Gold Hand Decorated
Ivory Porcelain by Sebring
The smaller bowl is 5 inches in diameter. Some of the gold has been worn away, but otherwise is in very good condition. The larger bowl is 6 inches in diameter. Most of the gold accent has been worn away. It is in good condition, however, there are two very small chips on the edge.
In researching these pieces, I found out that the use of the word "Ivory" came into use during the 1920's in reference to china dinner wear and that it is believed that the Sebring Pottery Co. was the first company to use this terminology. Sebring Pottery's Ivory Porcelain was patented in 1925 and was made through the 1930's.
These dishes are still very beautiful and would make wonderful additions to your vintage dish collection or as a lovely wedding shower gift.
