The ultimate union of avant garde downtown cool and ultra-lux uptown glamour, this 1980s trench coat from Saks Fifth Avenue is one of the most stylish pieces of designer vintage outerwear we’ve ever come across. Full of appealing details like the exaggerated epaulettes and sleeve tabs, extremely drapey front lapels, and overall slouchy silhouette. Beltless, oversized, and bursting with minimalist style that was clearly influenced by the best of 1980s Japanese designer clothing.

Looks like a million bucks paired with a sleek black outfit and ankle boots underneath, accompanied by nothing but an oversized clutch and single chunky bangle. Also dresses waaay down and works perfectly with a pair of faded vintage jeans, roman sandals, and a tank top for a super-chic way to step out and grab that Sunday morning New York Times.

-Saks Fifth Avenue
-No size label (one size fits most, though possibly not petites due to total length)
-Content: 55% Cotton 45% Polyester
-Cross Shoulder: approximately 18” (raglan seam, difficult to measure shoulder width)
-Sleeve Length: approximately 21”-23”
-Bust: free up to 44”
-Waist: free up to approximately 46”
-Total Length: 46”
-Condition: Good (normal signs of moderate wear, nothing specifically worth noting other than the fact that this is garment has been previously loved quite a bit. Still has another lifetime left to experience!)

For even more good times…
