I call this Buddha in a Bowl because every time I gaze into it I see Buddha with a 1mm round cubic zirconium in his belly.

This ring is made from art clay. Art clay is tiny molecules of recycled silver mixed with a binder like rice flour and water. This forms a clay that I can roll, form and pipe to make creative elements. Once dry I fire it in a kiln which burns off the binder and bonds the silver molecules together, leaving a pure silver piece of art.

I rounded a piece of clay over a marble and pressed the outside with a leaf skeleton I found in the yard. The clay took the impression of the leaf, giving it a spectacular texture on the outside and the smooth surface of the marble on the inside. Once this dried I added the embellishments on the inside smooth surface: a few tiny balls of clay and a 1 mm round cubic zirconium in the center of a larger glob of clay. This design is welded on to a size 7 shank.
