This serving bowl is made from stoneware clay that was thrown on the potters wheel, then glazed in Nutmeg, and fired for a third time with handmade decals.

I made the decals myself from vintage images using iron oxide transfers. The decals are permanently in the glaze.

The bowl is 7 inches (17.5 cm) wide and about 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall. It holds over 4 cups of liquid. Great for serving or just displaying, it would coordinate well with the other decal work in the shop. Unfortunately, it warped a little in the final firing and is not completely round. This in no way changes the usefulness of the bowl, but I am discounting it because of this.

This bowl has a vintage images of a bundle of carrots on the inside and on the outside, an appetizing mushroom.

This dish is food safe, microwave safe, and oven safe if started in a cool oven. While this bowl is dishwasher safe, for best results, decal ware will have a better finish if it is hand washed.

Thank you to Karen at http://www.graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/ for the vintage graphics!
