Pre WWII Sam Browne brown leather and brass belt. Belt is a size 30 and reads "full grain bridle leather Service New York". Sam Browne belts were a standard part of the US Army uniform between the years of 1927-1940 when they were discontinued due to the costly use of leather. The belt was originally worn over a coat and the shoulder strap was used for carrying a sword.
