Mountain Man Wood Carving named "Strong Heart" , a wise and hard working Mountain Wizard. He enjoys a good time but knows that there is much work to be done. He understands the the best of life is work being balanced with the love of humor and a simple life.

He is carved in a Manzanita Burl. This is about the hardest wood I carve anymore. And it is very difficult to find solid pieces as it is a root burl and can have a lot of pockets of bark or just open spaces throughout the piece. I feel very lucky when I find one solid like this one.

Strong Heart measures 8 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" tall x 6" deep. He sets on a shelf or table and does not hang on the wall. He is very burly. The piece of wood has character everywhere you look.

He has assorted colors. A deep red in the face is my favorite. There are grays and golds throughout.

Here's a little story about the Earth Wizards. In the beginning, the Creator noticed the trees were defenseless. Hence He fashioned Wood Elves and Earth Wizards, kind spirited folk who labored at nurturing the trees and protecting them from those with little understanding of The Way.

Trees contain a wisdom of the past and offer hope for the future. The Elves and Wizards live on, though few in number compared to the Unknowing. Our well being depends upon our trees and environment being protected and held close to our hearts. Please help the Elves and Wizards; hold the Earth close to your heart.

Frequently asked questions about TreeWizWoodCarvings

All of my carvings have a lacquer finish. Dusting with a feather duster or blowing off with a compressor is all that is necessary on the carved trees, fish and carved faces. I use Orange oil on the smooth surfaces. This will perk them up. I would do it as often as you polish your furniture. Once a month would keep them looking great but is not necessary.
I will contact you as soon as I get your order. I will package it that day or the next. I take it to the Post Office the next morning. If I get an order on Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday it will be in Monday mornings mail.
I use Priority United States postal service mail.
I do ship outside of the US. I need to know the carving that you are interested in and your complete shipping address. I will figure what it costs to ship to your address and make the changes to the listing so that you can make the purchase.
