A different dish each day to explore new textures and ways of working. Find more work in progress pictures and information on my flickr stream

This low dish has a highly textured, pierced form influenced by coral and sea sponge. The outside of the dish is as interesting as the interior with rings around the piercings like octopus suckers. The white porcleian is unglazed but fired to maturity which has a lovely translucency. This piece is subtly stamped with my initials, 85-365 03.10.10 on the outside.

The piece is 4 1/2 inches/11.5cm across and 1 inch/2.5cm high.

Let me know if you need any more information.
