I purchased this doll in 1980 at a flea market with the intention of dressing her in period costume. I no longer have room so I am selling her. She is a 34 inch tall ceramic doll that is a reproduction of what was known as Heads of State dolls. She was made to possibly represent Queen Victoria. Her hair is painted to look as if it is greyed. You can see that her body is handmade of unbleached muslin and someone took a bit of time to make sure the doll was in correct proportion to her bisque arms and legs. The finish is a bit crazed as you can see in the close-up photo of her face. There is a slight finish blemish on her right cheek that appears to be there from manufacture. There are two minor chips on her right foot, one on the outside toe and a smaller one on the inside heel. The left foot has some very small paint chips on the edge of the shoe toe. There was something glued to her head at one time as there is residue I was unable to remove.

The painting and finish work on this doll is definitely an amateurs work but she has a nice face and I always thought she would be lovely dressed in 1880's or 90's style clothing in the manner of Queen Victoria. She is too large for me to keep as I am downsizing my collections to fit my home.

I will ship her UPS well packed in a box. I will refund any amount of excess postage over $1. Insurance would be extra so please convo me before purchase to let me know if you wish insurance.
