I also just LOVE the combination of these colors! L-O-V-E! It's a combination different pink shades: hot pink, pink, light pink, pastel pink and cream.

I made this other one (as always, one of a kind) using a beautiful vintage earring (circa 1940) that gained new life in this lovely piece. I also used vintage rhinestones, only.. So you'll be wearing a little piece of history on your wrist! The friendship bracelet itself, is 100% handmade.

I added an extension chain to this model to make it easier for anyone to wear it...

Another one that I LOVE! What about you?

Friendship bracelets provide us with a thoughtful and long-lasting way of appreciating the friends in our lives. Wearing a friendship bracelet reminds us of our valued friends and their loyalty to us. Friendship bracelets come in different designs, colors, and patterns enabling one to choose the best to suit his or her friend’s unique personality.

People have been appreciating their friends by giving them friendship bracelets for a long time. This brilliant idea has its roots in Native Central America, from where it spread to the rest of the world. The Native Central American people made handcrafts through weaving and knot tying. They also loved bright colors. The earliest friendship bracelets were made from bright colored embroidery threads through weaving and knot tying. Varying the knots produced different designs and patterns.

A person could handcraft a friendship bracelet, and then tie it around his or her friend’s wrist. The receiver of the friendship bracelet was supposed to wear it continuously until it wore out and fell off on its own. By doing this, the friend was believed to be showing appreciation for the work of the giver. The giver’s effort in making the friendship bracelet was respected and considered a labor of love. Removing the friendship bracelet before it wore out and fell off on its own signified trouble, or end of the friendship.

Over the years, friendship bracelets have evolved. While they have retained the original symbol of friendship, they are also used as fashion accessories. Modern friendship bracelets have retained the indigenous patterns and use of multiple bright colors. Different patterns and designs have developed for making friendship bracelets.
