Text from “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,” Lewis Carroll's classic novel from 1865, covers four sides of this 2 ½” block. Printed paper adorns the remaining two sides: an ornate, geometrically floral ivory and black pattern covers one, and a rather large, muted green floral print reminiscent of Beatrix Potter's garden serves as the background for Sir John Tenniel's rendering of the smartly-jacketed, pocket-watch-toting White Rabbit and the words “The Rabbit Sends in A little Bill.” The Illustration and words are individually cut out, mounted on black card stock, and then cut out again in order to be subtly framed and elevated by the card stock.A charming pair of pewter metal embellishments – a diminutive rabbit and a numerically embossed clock face – serendipitously adorns two sides.

Each edge of this hand-aged block has been flame-singed, and each side double-coated with an animal-free sealant.

All orders will be personally confirmed, carefully wrapped in beautiful homemade Indian paper, and shipped Priority Mail in a heavy-duty mailing box from a smoke-free home in Milledgeville, Georgia within 24 hours of your order.

I welcome any questions you may have, and thank you for looking!
