Yes, The front and back cover have broken/torn from the spine. There's a wonderful bookplate inside dated Christmas 1839 - don't ask me how that happens when the publisher's date is 1860. In the back is a fold-out ad for Mechi and Bezin's Furniture. Lots of engravings, several color illustrations with lots of adventure stories. In the back are several pages of ads.

Peter Parley's Annual, A Christmas and New Year's Preset for Young People, edited by William Martin. London: Darton and Co., 58, Holborn Hill 1860. 296 pgs plus advertisements

With the covers detached from the spine this book may have lost its value as a collectible book but the contents are perfect for so many creative projects and altered art ideas.

1860 Peter Parley's Annual engravings illustrated ephemera great for stamps, assemblage, collage
