The wood for the seats of these stools is reclaimed from renovation projects or the slab pile at the local sawmill. The twig legs are rescued from roadside tree trimming and orchard pruning. They are mortise and tenoned though the seat, and secured with wood glue and wooden wedges. There may be some knots, insect holes, evidence of former use and minor season cracks in the wood that don't affect use. These ad interest and character to each bench. The aged appearing finish is linseed oil and turpentine. The bark is preserved on the legs, and has a nice texture and feel. The stools in the fotos above have all been sold, but yours will be of the same character, maybe even nicer. Sizes vary some due to the nature of the materials. The seats are about 8" by 12" to 15" wide. The stools are about 10" to 12" high overall. I handmake each one when ordered, and each is THE ONE and ONLY ONE like it. A great piece for your cabin, rustic or primitive decor.
