4-5" staple, VM free, very light lanolin before wash, nice luster, dyes well, fiber has minimal to no mud before washing.

Strong, vibrant fiber comes from healthy animals. Healthy animals are a result of good nutrition, informed care and peaceful environment. Joe Snyder’s farm in Myrtle Point, OR has all that. This flock is kept on well-drained grass year round, and their guard llamas add to flock security. Their farmer is a veterinarian with a penchant for pasture management – no weeds & thistles (wahoo!). This last winter was wet, so the green grass was aplenty.

I rely on this fiber for carding with other weaker fibers. It is long and strong. Additionally, this fiber felts predictably. The fiber has been stored in a smoke-free environment, because there’s a special place in fiber hell for folks who sell stuff that's stinky.
